When does an employment contract become indefinite?
An indefinite employment contract is one that does not clearly specify an end date, has no fixed termination date, or contains no clause defining when it may be terminated. Such contracts continue until one of the parties decides either to terminate or renew them. In contrast to a fixed-term contract—which includes clearly defined start and end dates—an indefinite contract generally offers greater flexibility, though it can sometimes be confusing, especially when there is no clear mechanism for termination.
