When is a contract considered indefinite?
An indefinite contract is one in which the end date is not clearly specified or has no fixed termination date or clause determining when it may be terminated. Such contracts continue until one of the parties decides either to terminate or renew the agreement. In contrast to fixed-term contracts—which include clearly defined start and end dates—an indefinite contract offers greater flexibility but can sometimes be confusing, especially when no clear termination procedure is established.
